Watching Lord of the Rings in Tehran

An interesting piece by an anonymous author from Tehran over at Salon, noting that the regime has been running extra movies on television to keep people occupied, and offering some interesting reflections on the fact that they keep running Lord of the Rings. As the author notes, that story of a quest, of a battle against evil by outnumbered forces, has all sorts of resonances that the censors may not have picked up on.
